By 2021, renewables and nuclear power account for 91% share of electricity.

UK Electricity Production by Fuel type 2022

By 2022, renewables and nuclear power account for 48.5% share and non-fossil (low carbon) share is 40% - gas and coal power stations.
Wind Energy share has been steadily rising it acccounted for almost 27% of electricity generation in 2022.

Japan Electricity Consumption by Fuel type 2021

By 2021, renewables account for 21% share and non-fossil (low carbon) share is 27%. Coal remains the dominant fuel source.
Japan used to have almost 35% non-fossil (low carbon) share in 2010 before it decided to phase out Nuclear energy fuel source due to Fukushima nuclear disaster.
