Bio Fuels

Biomass energy is an environmentally friendly new energy source. It is the energy obtained from the biomass through the photosynthetic effect of plants. Bio Fuels are liquid fuels produced from Biomass. Most biofuels are used as transportation fuels, They are considered carbon neutral even though they may emit C02 and other green house gases during fuel consumption because the plant souurces from which they are produced absorb C02. So on the net they are carbon neutral. In 2021, about 17.5 billion gallons of biofuels were produced in the United States and about 16.8 billion gallons were consumed.
