Geo Thermal

Geothermal energy is heat within the earth. Geothermal energy is a renewable energy source because heat is continuously produced inside the earth.

Scientists have discovered that the temperature of the earth's inner core is about 10,800 degrees Fahrenheit (F), which is as hot as the surface of the sun. Temperatures in the mantle range from about 392F at the upper boundary with the earth's crust to approximately 7,230F at the mantle-core boundary. According to Arpa-E, just 0.1% of Earths heat content can meet the world's energy needs for 2 million years.

Geothermal energy is Renewable, available 24/7, Not dependent on weather patterns, Practically limitless energy and Emissions free. It solves the intermittancy problems that wind and solar have and would work well as base load energy capacity in combination with these renewable energy sources. Can be used to heat buildings directly and can be located to population centers
Economics of geothermal.
It is expensive to drill for geothermal energy - High upfront costs. It is natural fit with Oil and Gas companies who have expertise in drilling. GeoThermal Companies
